Changning Financial Park is located at 1320 Yuyuan Road. The 11 old foreign houses in the compound are all Republic of China mansions built around the 1920 s, with a total construction area of 8025 square meters. The financial park was formerly known as Xinhua Village. The 11 old houses in the park are all mansions of the Republic of China built in the 1920 s and were originally private businesses of foreign businessmen. Building 5 is the former site of the Second Plenary Session of the First Central Committee of the China Democratic League and Zhang Bojun's former residence. After liberation, Xinhua Village was once the seat of the CPC Changning District Committee and Changning District Government. After renovation and reconstruction in 2006, on the basis of full protection of historical buildings, the old houses can reproduce their historical style. In December 2016, Changning Financial Park opened in this old villa area and became a landmark of financial services in western Shanghai.
